FAQ
This is the FAQ for the local elections in 2006. The FAQ from 2005 General Election can be read here.
It is the only way that Labour members and activists will finally be motivated to get rid of Blair. They've failed to show the requisite amount of courage; all we have left to work with is fear.
Labour played this game at the last election... then Blair claimed every one of these 'don't let the other guy in' votes as a personal endorsement and carried on playing games with terrorism and fucking about with our democracy.
It doesn't matter. Every vote for Labour strengthens Blair's position.
The invasion of a country that presented no threat to us on the basis of
thin and politically-influenced intelligence sets a dangerous
precedent that threatens us all. The same goes for detaining
people without trial and condoning or actively participating in torture. Domestic issues pale into insignificance
next to such things, I'm afraid.
*sigh*... OK, let's put it this way. You may not care enough to use your vote against Blair, but many other people do. As long as Blair remains in power, we are not going to vote Labour. And there's nothing you can say that will change our minds. The only thing that can swing our vote is the removal of Blair. So if you REALLY care about local issues, you'll do what you can to remove Blair from office. Before Thursday 4th May 2006. Cheers.
Yes.
